At Phase Eight, we strongly believe that our success is down to our passionate, talented and driven employees. We are committed to investing in the development of our people, allowing them to reach their full potential and gain additional skills and knowledge. We place great emphasis on succession planning and love to promote our people internally. As our expansion continues, so too do the opportunities that enable us to do this!


Your training and development starts on day one of your induction. Retail Managers will spend time in one of our dedicated training Stores learning how we operate our Stores and Concessions. Retail employees will also work through their own PhasedIn induction booklet learning more about the Company, our values and what makes us unique to work for! This enables all employees to gain the knowledge they need to carry out their roles as ambassadors of the Brand. You will be supported by our management team and learn through one to one training and coaching on the shop floor giving you the firm foundations for success. You will be given regular feedback throughout your initial 12 weeks. Following your initial induction period a personal development plan will be tailored to your own development requirements allowing you to further expand your skills and experience within the Company.


PHASE EIGHT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES

Phase Eight has its own DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY dedicated to offering tailor made and inspirational programmes. These programmes were first launched in 2012 and have been extremely successful in driving innovation within the Business. The programmes have been attended by all levels of employee across the Company and have enabled attendees to develop their leadership and management skills to take on greater responsibility as we grow and expand. ASPIRE

Assistant Manger Development Programme

ASPIRE is a Leadership Development Programme which is open to our employees who deputise in our Store/Concessions. We look for employees who have demonstrated their outstanding ability in driving the performance of their location and are looking for their next challenge. The programme is designed to give those employees the skills and knowledge to develop themselves in to Phase Eight Managers of the future! In 2014, the programme culminated in the attendees presenting ideas for a new incentive scheme to our Senior Management Team.

The programme has been a great success with some of the fantastic ideas developed by our talented employees during the workshops being developed and implemented by the Business. Further to this, four of the Aspire Managers were promoted during the course of the programme. This exemplifies our commitment to recognising and rewarding employee’s commitment to their own personal development and that of the Company.


TOP 30

Coaching Course for the Managers

Top 30 is a coaching course for the Managers running our 30 highest performing flagship Stores and Concessions. The course takes place over four sessions and is heavily focused on commercial and business acumen skills with an emphasis on applying this in a practical environment. The ultimate aim of this is to embed a selling culture within our Stores substantiated by our commercially and people focus Managers. This will enable our Managers to make a smooth transition into a greater leadership role of the future.

The sessions are run internally with support and mentoring advice from different employees across the Company. The course will conclude with presentations from attendees on how their learnings will be applied going forward.
