Jessica Shimmer Knitted Wrap Dress

I like this dress, it is shiny - copper colour but not overly so, has some weight to it and is a flattering cut. It has kind of a 1920’s vibe with its top part looking a little like a little cross light sweater that can be adjusted at the waist without being overly tight, so falling kind of straight on the skirt. Depending on the size of your bust and how much cleavage you are comfortable wearing, you might need either a pin to hold it or perhaps a kind of camisole so the plunge doesn’t get too deep. This dress would work for a not-overly-dressed-up evening when you still want to acknowledge it’s an evening (something like a dinner in a restaurant with friends, or perhaps a work party). It is crossing between relaxed and party, yet could also somehow manages to look professional if accessorised right way. An interesting dress, versatile in a feminine yet somehow sporty way, like a dress Lacoste could do.

This is a lovely sparkly plunge dress. The material has some weight so it offers a flattering fit. However, it is very fitted, unlike other Studio 8 dresses which were quite roomy. And for me it was far too low cut, so I had to return - it could have been made clearer in the description that it is like a plunge dress.

Really nice fit, comfy dress to try on, but the bronze fleck through the material looked like a cheap bright brass colour, totally over took the look of the dress, so reluctantly sent it back, my quest for a brown dress continues!
