Our three strategic pillars give us the foundation to do better and guide our ability to embed sustainability in everything we do.

By upholding and respecting human rights in our supply chains, we can deliver a better future for the communities we work with.

Higher sustainability standards throughout our operations also means that we can minimise our impact on the environment and be an inclusive and progressive business that supports the wellbeing of our team.

Our Sustainable Pillars

Improving Our Supply Chain & Communities

Over the last two years, our primary focus has been to uphold the human rights of those who work with our products along our global supply chains.

Supply chains are vast and complex, and whilst recognising our accountability as a brand, we are also committed to collectively tackling many thorny issues that cannot be addressed by us working alone.

We joined the Ethical Trading Initiative in 2019 and this accelerated our efforts to address labour and workers’ rights. We also ensure our partners values are aligned with ours with comprehensive supplier risk assessment and supply chain mapping.

In our Far East supply chains, we have invested
in capacity building programmes that encourage more effective workplace representation and help our factories worldwide to adopt a worker-centred approach.

TFG Positioning Statement on human rights violations and abuses in Xinjiang

As part of TFG London’s approach to responsible sourcing and ethical trade, we are committed to preventing the use of forced labour in our supply chain.  TFG London takes seriously reports of human rights abuses being perpetrated against Uyghurs and other Tukic-and Muslim-majority people in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and other parts of China, which has been highlighted by the Coalition to End Uyghur Forced Labour. TFG London has signed the Call to Action and is committed to taking all steps laid out within, in line with our responsibilities under the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Reducing Our Environmental Impact

We have swapped all our packaging to be sustainable. We now use paper and cardboard from FSC certified sources in an effort to reduce plastic waste.

The natural world holds the resources which enable us to create our timeless pieces. But we are very aware that these resources are finite, and the carbon footprint of our collections largely depends on the materials they are made of.

Because of this, over the last 18 months we have taken conscious steps to gradually substitute our conventional raw material with more sustainable alternatives, from utilising regenerated yarns to expanding the range of our responsibly sourced cloths.

At the same time, we are looking at more responsible manufacturing processes with lower environmental footprint and we are revisiting our creative design process to incorporate elements of circularity. Find out more about our sustainable materials.

We will continue to strive to reduce the amount of single-use plastic in our own operations.

Prioritising the Wellbeing of Our Team

Our team are our biggest asset. They are the fibre of our brand identity and make us the inclusive, diverse and collaborative brand that we are today.

We believe that our workplace can be a force for positive change, supporting employees to live their lives well; and in turn doing better business.

Because of this, we have put people’s wellbeing at the centre of our group sustainability strategy. We strive to raise the profile of mental health at work by promoting positive dialogue and effective training.

We have Mental Health First Aiders and run training sessions with the accredited training body Mental Health First Aid England, intended to empower our colleagues and care for themselves and others by developing wellbeing skills.

We encourage everyone to embrace an active lifestyle, offering subsidised fitness benefits and talks from nutritionists and sleep and health experts.

Partnering with Retail Trust means financial, emotional and mental health support to all employees and their immediate families. Our team can access support tools confidentially at any time.

We also encourage everyone to support charities by fundraising, volunteering or donating their skills.
