Originating in America, Black Friday has gained momentum to globally become the biggest shopping day of the year.
Traditionally, a lot of people in America have the day after Thanksgiving off work, so they would hit the shops, eager to start their Christmas shopping. Retailers noticed an increase in shoppers on this day, so began to offer exclusive, limited-time deals. This meant that, in one day, retailers’ accounts would go from being ‘in the red’ (loss of profit) to ‘in the black’ (lots of profit) - hence Black Friday.
It’s always the fourth Friday in November; the day after Thanksgiving. Don’t forget: Friday 25th November 2022. Make sure to add this date to your diary, the sale you’ve been waiting for is about to start!
Look out for our amazing Black Friday offers on occasionwear, coats, jackets, dresses, jumpers, boots and all the accessories in the run up to the day. It’s the best time to start your Christmas shopping.
Look out for exclusive discounts in the run up to Black Friday, over the weekend and all the way through to Cyber Monday (Monday 28th November).
