What do Macmillan do?
Every 90 seconds someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. Macmillan is a lifeline when cancer hits, providing clinical, physical, financial, and emotional support across the UK. They are the UK’s leading cancer care charity, supporting people of all ages and all cancer types in local communities across the UK
Macmillan nurses, doctors and cancer experts are there for people when they need them most, from making sense of their diagnosis to guiding them through treatment and providing help and support on every aspect of life. With their expertise, influence and reach, Macmillan is uniquely placed to support people at every stage of their cancer journey.
Meet Miranda, a Macmillan nurse
“Nobody wants to hear the words they’ve got cancer, nobody wants to have the treatment.
It isn't something that people plan for but actually, if you can give people good, clear information and direction of where to go for help and support, it gives you an immense amount of job satisfaction.
You know you're making things easier for them and their families. So I'm very proud to be a Macmillan professional.”

Team Phase Eight are taking part in a 70 mile fundraising challenge. We’re walking, running, swimming and cycling 70 miles (the 70 is to mark that this is the Queen’s 70th year on the throne Jubilee year!) across our central and store teams. Keep an eye on our social channels for updates on how we’re doing!
Macmillan have so many fundraising, donating & volunteering ideas if you want to
