Lovely well made dress but I am 5ft 11 size 12 and it is a bit short ( upper/mid thigh), should be OK with opaque black tights but may have to give it more thought!

Pretty dress but the hips are shaped so that on my petite frame I looked like I had jodpurs on it stuck out on my hips so much

This was a nice relaxed dress which would work well both during the day and at night. Easy and comfortable to wearable and could be dressed up with heels or down with flats/ boots
Smart elegant looking dress on ,the material is a good weight but it does look a little odd on the hanger as it seems to look an odd shape over the hips but once on it looks normal

Love the dress but as other reviews said it was an odd shape around the hips. I'm taking it to my dressmaker and I'm sure she can sort it out for me.

Brilliant Dress! I absolutely love it! Really nice quality and warm to wear. I was worried that the sparkly studs would come off easily but i needn't haven worried as being a Phase Eight dress it is very well made

Brilliant as always loved the dress the slip is good as it gives you freedom to move whilst holding you in giving smooth lines.

Lovely little black dress, looks stunning! The only slight criticism I have is that the material on the hips seems to 'stick out' slightly, but doesn't detract from the overall look. I take a size 12 and it is a perfect fit in all other respects. Looks fantastic with black tights and the glitter effect is quite subtle. The quality of the material is excellent too.

Lovely knitted sparkly dress, perfect for Christmas. The dress is shaped and sticks out a bit around the thighs but otherwise a great fit.
A very odd fit. Bought a size 8. Perfect on the top but then had pockets of excess material around the hips. Almost like a tulip style skirt. So unless you have a bottom and hips similar to Kim K, Beyoncé or Jennifer Lopez then it’s not for you. Shame as the material and style is lovely.

Love this dress - not over the top and good for any occasion. Great fit . I ordered 2 sizes , smaller was better . There is a curve for the hips so is very flattering and no need to go a size bigger

This dress would have been perfect for Christmas parties with the glittery crystals sewn in, and it’s great quality (heavy material, feels lovely on) BUT the shape is odd - it flares out massively at the hips. Sadly I had to send it back as having it altered would make it an expensive purchase

Beautiful dress but quality is a bit lacking. Am concerned threads will pull and unravel.
The dress is a perfect fit, size 6. Everything about this dress makes my wife look stunning. The way the dress clings makes for a perfect fit. No gaping at the back, sleeves sit beautifully to my wife's slender arms. The figure hugging contours complement her elegant proportions. The brilliant sparkle presented on a rich black background lifts the dress beautifully.
Very poor fit due to the super wide hip ( bits are sticking out) so if you are slim, this dress in not for you.
Would not have tried on a fitted dress but really pleased with the dress I purchased and can't wait to wear it

This item fitted a treat. Unfortunately it appeared to have large hip shapes, which looked like johdpurs, another disappointment because other than the hip problem would have been perfect.
Funny shape. Too big at hips.
The fit is perfect and the length is good on me as i'm only 5ft. It looks stunning on and i'm very pleased that i purchased this dress.

Worth every penny a classic, quality material this will be with me for a number of years.
Style is very figure hugging, would suit someone with a very toned figure ( 3 babies later I don't want every lump and bump on display).
The Dress is lovely, as I am tall and I felt it was too short for me.
Nice and weighty so whilst the dress clings in the right places it doesn’t show off every lump and bump. The sparkle is on trend, but not over the top if you prefer a more sedate look.
